Radam's patent application covers a unique means of creating a radial air-gap electric motor or generator. This is achieved via a segmented amorphous iron tooth as well as a unique yoke section connecting the segmented teeth. The entire structure is supported in a secure manner that is proven by over 10,000 hours testing.
Radam has applied for patent protection in the following jurisdictions:
- Australia
- Canada
- China
- European Union
- Japan
- United Kingdom
- United States.

Trade Secret Technology
Radam understands, perhaps better than anyone else worldwide, how best to design motors to optimize for the use of amorphous iron. This is knowledge that is well documented. Radam understands how to process the ribbon into useful shapes needed by the motor industry. This knowledge appears to be overwhelmingly misunderstood by other parties. Radam knows that motor size can be reduced as the synchronous frequency is increased. This idea that design frequency is inversely related to motor size is well known to the aerospace industry, certainly, but Radam combines the above points to design motors that minimize all material, not just the amorphous iron material. This is knowledge gained through 13 years of published peer-reviewed research.
